Welcome to StefanNilsson.com. I’m Stefan and here I’ll briefly share my story so you’ll know where I’m coming from. If you’re new I highly recommend reading my beginners guide and my view on fitness, health and life.
I’m born and raised in Sweden. During my childhood I was both short and overweight. When I finally entered high school I grew taller, oh well – I’m 176 cm today, while I at the same time lost some weight thanks to football practice five times a week. Despite several attempts on losing weight I never reached my goal of becoming normal-weight.
The tragedy came the summer after I finished high school when I blew my knee out during a football game and the MRI showed a anterior cruciate ligament injury. The rehabilitation dragged on and it took me 18 months before I finally was on my way to the first practice since the injury.
Unfortunately this was during winter and I managed to slip on the snow and once again injured my knee – this time a meniscal injury.
Obviously I had to undergo a new surgery and months of rehabilitation before I was somewhat restored. As a result I went from five to nil workout sessions a week and my weight was more than ever.
Looking back, this was a dark period for me, but I learned a lot and the injuries gave me a burning interest for exercise, health, weight loss, personal development and a desire to help others.
Today I’m in better shape than ever thanks to an education in psychology, scientific studies, hundreds of books and personal experience. My passion is to help others, such as you, to get the fitness you need to be able to reach your true potential and thereby goals in your life.
