Today we tend to buy more than in ever in bulk, not only food, and we do this with the single purpose of saving as much money as possible. Unfortunately most people tend to forget two important aspects which not only makes it more expensive but also increases the risk of you becoming obese.
The health aspect is that we tend to eat whatever we have in front of us. It doesn’t really matter if you buy a 33 cl can or 1.5 liter soda. If you open the package there’s a big chance you’ll eat or drink all of it. When it comes to bulk we tend to go all in and eat until we’re truly stuffed. Then we regret our actions and stuff the rest of the package in the back of the pantry.
The second aspect is economy. Even though we buy in bulk to save money we actually end up throwing a bunch of food each year. The inhabitants of Stockholm, Sweden, throw away 27% of their food! Just think about what it would do to your economy if you could reduce the costs with 27%!
Buy less food and you’ll see results in both your weight loss and economy.
