Most of our favorite songs are highly personal due to the memories we associate them with. Songs such as Maybe I’m Amazed and Obsesion are popular but far from everyone would be motivated enough to change their life just by listening to them. The problem is that you might end up ruining your songs.
We love to play them because they bring back the feelings we have associated with the songs. For an example, Where is the Love fills me with the feelings and memories I had during a memorable camp back in high school.
The problem is that every time you play the song, sitting in front of your computer, the feelings will fade just a bit. Eventually you’ll not associate the song with your old memories but instead sitting in front of your computer.
This is why I recommend you to play your favorite songs as seldom as possible.
Instead, you should focus on new experiences and memories resulting in even more songs you can use to motivate yourself with.
